Rob Burton博士来自英国，在英国埃克塞特大学、伦敦玛丽皇后学院、伦敦大学等高校任教25年。出版雅思相关教材两册。目前就职于浙江传媒学院国际文化传播学院，主讲英语口语、英语演讲与辩论。他在中国已经生活8年。

Dr Rob给国传20双播的同学布置了一项特别的作业：诗歌创作。每位同学自由发挥，创作一首属于自己的英语小诗。大家积极头脑风暴，别出心裁的创意想法赢得老师们的一致好评。下面让我们来看看Rob对于大家的表现是怎么说的吧！

Q1:Hey Professor. Could you tell us the motif of this mission？

       您能告诉我们这次任务的主题吗？

The first one is Hangzhou is very famous for its poets and poetry. And you can make an connection with the people from one thousand years ago, so you can understand the feeling when you are locked down at home. The other thing is that poetry is important for learning English so that you can learn the correct pronunciation and creative thinking.

首先，杭州是以诗人和诗歌而闻名。你可以通过写诗和千年前的古人产生共鸣，以此理解疫情期间你在家中独处时的那种孤独感受。其次是因为诗歌对于学习英语很重要，这样你才能学到正确的发音和创造性思维。

Q2:  And you have read some poetries

from the ancient China?

你还读过一些中国古代的诗歌吗？

I got two books of Chinese poetry from my wife. And Su Dongpo and Libai are my favorite. It’s new and excited for me。

是的，我从我妻子那里得到了两本中国诗集。苏东坡和李白是我最爱的两位诗人。读他们的诗对我来说非常新奇和享受。

Q3:  How is the general feedback?

这次作业总体反馈情况如何？

They are very pleased to do it and i am very proud that they are able to do it. And the feedback from the university is also pretty pleased and impressed. And that’s why I made them a book, so that you can have a memory.

同学们非常乐意去创作诗歌，并且我对他们的能力感到非常自豪。学校的其他老师也对他们的作品留下了非常深刻的印象。这就是为什么我把他们创作的诗编纂成了一本书，以此纪念。

Q4:  Which one is your favorite

       if you must choose one？

您能说说哪一首诗是你最喜欢的吗？

I’m not gonna say a favorite because that’s not fair. There are almost a hundred poems, they are all my favorite. I have read everyone of them and I really enjoyed them.

I also put all your poems on my website so that they can be read by people form all over the world. And one day you can talk to someone that “I am an author, you can find my poetry on the website.”（网址：https://www.rob-burton.co.uk/china-poetry-2020）

一定要选一个最好的作品恐怕是不公平的。这近百首诗都是我的最爱。我一字一句读了他们每个人的诗， 我真的很喜欢他们的创作。

我还把所有的诗都投放在我创建的网站上，让全世界的人都能看到。有一天，你可以跟别人说："我可是一个作家，你可以在这个网站上找到我写的诗。
