外国语言文化系

外国语言文化系成立于2007年6月，目前设有三个专业方向：英语语言文学、国际新闻和跨文化传播。英语语言文学属于校级重点学科，翻译硕士是学校重点培育硕士点。建有1个语料库实训中心和1个实验实训中心。现有专任教师16人，其中，教授4人，副教授4人，澳大利亚阿德莱德大学受聘荣誉研究员1人，特聘外籍教师3人。具有博士学位教师4人。50%的教师具有海外学习或访学、研究经历。外国语言文化系以英语语言文学为主体，立足传媒，培养具有国际视野、扎实的英语语言基本功和深厚的科学文化素养的跨文化交流国际传播人才。

近年来，外国语言文化系教师主持教育部人文社会科学研究规划项目3项，国家广电总局科研项目1项，省级教研、科研项目7项，参与国家社科基金、省、部级科研项目9项。研究方向涉及语言学及应用语言学、跨文化传播、新闻话语研究等。在外语类核心期刊《外语教学与研究》、《外国语》、《外语界》、《外语与外语教学》、《中国翻译》等及各类期刊发表学术论文60多篇。出版学术专著、合著、译著和教材多部。

The Department of Foreign Languages and Cultures was founded in June 2007, now attached to the School of International Communications & Education. We offer undergraduate programmes in English language and literature, international news and intercultural communications, among which, English language and literature is ranked as one of the key majors of the university. The graduate programme in translation is currently getting started, which has been listed as a key incubation program at the university. Our department emphasizes the inseparability between language theory and practice, well-equipped with hands-on research facilities of a language corpus centre and an experiment and training centre. We have 16 outstanding teachers, including four professors, four associate professors, one honorary research fellow of The University of Adelaide, and three foreign experts. Half of them have had an academic experience abroad as a visiting scholar or researcher. Focused on English language and literature, our mission is to prepare the students to become culturally-literate talents in the field of intercultural communications, who are not only proficient in English language but endow themselves with a global perspective.

In recent years, our faculty members have presided over a dozen of research projects at different scales: three projects in the field of humanities and social science supported by the Ministry of Education, one by National Radio and Television Administration, seven teaching and science research projects by various types of provincial fund. We have also actively participated in nine projects funded by governments or institutions above the provincial level. The above work is on a broad range of topics in interdisciplinary researches, covering many subfields of linguistics, as well as the integration of theory with corpus study, inter-cultural communications and news discourse analysis. Till now, the publications of our department have been totalized up to 60 articles in various Chinese core journals on foreign languages and practice researches, such asForeign Language Teaching and Research, Foreign Languages, Foreign Language World, Foreign Languages and Their TeachingandChinese Translators Journal,and numbers of monographs, textbooks and co-authored books.

双语播音系

BilingualBroadcast Announcing and AnchoringArt Department

双语播音系下设三个专业方向：英汉双语播音、法汉双语播音、日汉双语播音。播音与主持艺术（英汉双语播音）专业方向于2001年开始招收专科学生，2004年起招收本科学生；2008年播音与主持艺术（法汉双语播音）专业方向开始招生；2013年播音与主持艺术（日汉双语播音）专业方向成立。

本系现有在编专任教师21名，其中教授1名，副教授8名，讲师12名，博士8名，博士后1名，在读博士2名，外籍特聘专家1名，外籍教师5名。播音与主持艺术（双语播音）专业为省级优势特色专业，播音与主持艺术（双语播音与跨文化交流）为省级“十二五”国际化新兴特色专业，秉承“质量至上”原则，该专业致力于培养具有宽广的国际视野、扎实的跨文化语言沟通能力和强烈的社会责任感的应用型、复合型、创新型传媒人才。

近年来，本系教师主持和参与国家社科基金重大招标项目、教育部人文社会科学研究规划基金项目、浙江省哲学社会科学规划项目、浙江省文化工程等各类研究课题多项。在国外学术期刊和国内一级、二级核心期刊等发表研究论文40多篇，其中多篇论文被《新华文摘》和《人大复印资料》等文摘全文转载，出版学术专著、合著、译著和教材多部。

There are three majors under The Department of Bilingual Broadcast Announcing and Anchoring Art, each with a different language orientation, i.e., English-Chinese, French-Chinese and Japanese-Chinese respectively.The major of Broadcast Announcing and Anchoring Art (English-Chinese Bilingual) has started its three-year junior college enrollment since 2001, and then began to enroll undergraduates starting from 2004. Besides, the major of Broadcast Announcing and Anchoring Art (French-Chinese Bilingual) has begun its enrollment since 2008, while the major of Broadcast Announcing and Anchoring Art (Japanese-Chinese Bilingual), 2013.

Our department now has 21 full-time teachers, including 1 professor, 8 associate professors, 12 lecturers, 8 PhDs, 1 postdoctoral fellow, 2doctoral candidates, 1 foreign expert and 5 foreign teachers. The Broadcast Announcing and Anchoring Art (Bilingual Broadcasting) is afeatured major with superiority at provincial level, while the Bilingual Broadcast Announcing and Anchoring Art (bilingual Broadcasting and Cross-Cultural Communication) is one of the newly developing, internationalized featured majors of the 12th Five-Year Plan of the Zhejiang Province. Adhering to the principle of “Quality First”, the major is committed to cultivating applied, inter-disciplinary and innovative media talents who have broad international visions, solid cross-cultural language communication skills and a strong sense of social responsibility.

In recent years, the teachers of our department have hosted and participated in various research subjects and activities, including major bidding projects of National Social Science Fund, the projects ofHumanities and Social Sciences Research Fund under Ministry of Education, Philosophy and Social Science Planning Projects of Zhejiang Province, and Zhejiang Cultural Projects, etc. Apart from a number of publications covering scholarly monographs, joint works, translated books and textbooks, more than 40 research papers have been published as well, ranging from foreign academic journals to domestic core journals of first and second classes, among which many have been reprinted inauthoritative periodicals such asXinhua DigestandCopied Materials by Renmin University of China.

大学外语教学系

大学外语教学部下设第一和第二教研室，现有专职教师36人；副教授3人，讲师32人，助教1人；博士(含在读)7人；60%以上的专任教师具有海外留学或访学经历。近年来，本系部教师主持或参与浙江省哲学社会科学规划项目、浙江省高等教育课堂改革项目、浙江省教育规划课题等各类研究课题多项，在国内核心期刊等发表多篇研究论文，教师中多人多次获得“三育人”、“教学十佳”等荣誉称号。

大学外语教学部承担着全校全日制本科两个年级近7000名学生的公共英语教学工作，一直致力于教学模式的改革和教学团队的建设，现有浙传混合式教学研究团队、设计艺术学院4+0雅思教学团队、华策电影学院教学团队、拓展课程教学团队、研究生英语教学团队、新闻学院飘萍班教学团队，目前开设了《大学英语》、《大学英语（拓展课程）》、研究生英语、飘萍班新闻英语等主干课程，并设有英汉实用翻译、对外汉语教学入门、西班牙语、文秘英语等一系列公共选修课。

The Foreign Languages Teaching Center is devoted both to foreign language teaching and research, with 36 faculty members including 3 associate professors, 32 lecturers and 1 teaching assistant. Two of the faculty members hold doctorate degrees and five are doctorate candidates. More than 60% of the faculty have overseas academic experiences. In recent years, the teachers of this department have presided over or participated in various research projects such as Zhejiang Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Planning Project, Zhejiang Provincial Higher Educational Class Reform Project and Zhejiang Provincial Education Planning Project, along with many research papers published in domestic core journals. Besides, many of the teachers have won the honorary titles including “San Yuren” and “Top Ten Teachers”.

The Foreign Languages Teaching Center undertakes the teaching task of College English Course for nearly 7,000 students in the first four semesters. It has been committed to the reform of the teaching model and the construction of the teaching team, such as the Blended Teaching Research Team and 4+0 IELTS Teaching Team for the School of Art and Design, Huace Film Academy Teaching Team, Advanced College English Course Teaching Team, Postgraduate English Course Teaching Team, and Piaoping Class Teaching Team for School of Journalism. The center also offers a series of selective courses such as English-Chinese Translation Theories and Practice, Introduction to Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Spanish, and Secretarial English.

留学生教学部

The School of International Education

国际教育学院负责国际留学生注册报到、教务教学管理和日常事务管理等工作，现有专职教师2名，其中博士2名，副教授1名，另有授课教师11名。本部教师主持国家社科基金项目1项，教育部人文社科研究基金项目、省哲学社会科学项目各1项。招收学历生、语言生、交换生和短期留学项目学生，现有来自二十余个国家的近两百名留学生。国际教育学院为留学生提供语言学习课程，部分专业课程和通识课程；建成后的浙江传媒学院国际教育学院将是“国际学生来华留学基地”“国际化项目的展示基地”以及“国际化课程的孵化基地”。

The School of International Education is in charge of international students’ registration, teaching and educational administration, and daily affairs. Up to now, 2 full-time teachers, including 2 doctors and 1 associate professor, and 11 instructors are employed in the School of International Education. And the teachers have hosted one project supported by National Social Science Foundation, and 2 projects supported by Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation of the Ministry of Education and by Zhejiang Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Foundation respectively.

The School of International Education recruits degree students, non-degree students, exchange students and students in short-time study abroad programs, with nearly 200 international students from more than 20 countries so far.

Providing foreign students with language learning courses, general educational courses and professional courses, the School of International Education, after establishment, will becomethe base for international students studying in China, the base fordisplaying international projects, and incubators for international curricula.
